BSU IS A PARTNER OF THE ETHICS PROJECT OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

BSU is a partner of the project “Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities – ETHICS” funded by the European Commission in 2022. On March 1, the first national meeting of the project held at Ilia State University was attended by BSU staff involved in the project – Head of Quality Assurance Service Vladimir Ghlonti, Associate Professor Manuchar Loria of the Faculty of Humanities and Associate Professor Nana Makaradze of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education.

Representatives of Georgian higher educational institutions of the project consortium, Ministry of Education and Science, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and National Center for Education Quality Development attended the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss in detail the work packages of the funded project, the role and plans of each partner, as well as to familiarize the Georgian partners with the administrative and financial regulations of the grant management established by the European Commission.

The main goal of the ETHICS project is to improve existing mechanisms, procedures and services in the direction of research ethics and integrity at the university level.
